Art Town is a podcast based in upstate New York, hosted by artist and educator Justin Baker. Each month, Baker engages in meaningful conversations with regional artists and artisans, exploring their work, creative processes, and the lives they lead.
Justin Baker grew up in Greenwich, New York. He began his creative journey studying photography at Sage Junior College of Albany, before taking a detour into songwriting and performing music with friends. He later attended Purchase College, where his artistic practice expanded into printmaking and photography.
In 2007, Justin earned his MFA in Combined Media from SUNY Albany. He now teaches Digital Imaging One, Digtial Imaging Two and Web Art and Design at Hudson Valley Community College. He’s also the host and creator of Art Town, a podcast spotlighting artists and makers in Upstate New York. Art Town launched in 2023 following a year-long hiatus after Justin hosted and produced Collar Works Radio for three years.
Justin lives in Wynantskill, NY with his wife Kyra, daughters Lola and Rona, two cats (Lulu and Lilly), and their dog, Luna.
